Delray Beach, Florida Delray Beach’s East Atlantic Ave. is an easily walkable beach town with a cool atmosphere for shopping and restaurants. The Delray Beach CRA’s main purpose is to improve the attractiveness and quality of life in the community through expanding and developing. This project, 800 Block Container Park located on West Atlantic Ave. This new commercial retail and restaurant park will connect the community to East Atlantic Ave. and it’s notably fast-paced development. The use of containers for this development was suggested by the client as a way of creating a landmark and new type of space in the community meant to encourage and increase investment in the redevelopment area. Shirley Branca Park

MIRAMAR, FLORIDA The City of Miramar retained CPZ Architects to design and develop construction documents for the renovation of Shirley Branca Park. The project included designing a 928-square foot restroom building, a 2100-square foot band shell, and a splash pad. The band shell and splash pad were accommodated within the existing park contours, and paths and dense vegetation provided tiered lawn seating for the audiences. A mid-century and Mediterranean design is consistent with Miramar’s existing facilities and the south Florida aesthetic. Mary N. Porter Learning Center at Flamingo Gardens

Davie, Florida Flamingo Gardens is an incredible Botanical Garden and Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary in the heart of south Florida. CPZ Architects took our cues from the historic Wray Home Museum and the surrounding landscape to design a new learning center that will feel like it’s always been a part of the Gardens. Wildflower Park Pavilion and Restrooms

CPZ Architects provided Design and Construction Administration Services to the City of Boca Raton for the construction of Wildflower Pavilion and Silver Palm Restroom Buildings. Wildflower & Silver Palm Parks are on the north and south side of Palmetto Park Road and on the west side of the intercoastal. A direct pedestrian connection under the Palmetto Park Road Bridge will provide access to and from Silver Palms and the Wildflower Property. The park’s amenities include, additional parking, a new restroom and pavilion, promenade seating, picnic areas, exercise stations and walking pathways. Coral Springs Ocean Sports Complex, Ocean Sports Development

Coral Springs, Florida CPZ Architects is designing a world class surf park near the Coral Springs Aquatic Center. With cabanas, tiki bars, and a full-size wave park that’s Olympian-worthy, the park will cater to both surfing pros and families looking to enjoy a day in the sun. The surf park will also offer aquatics training for lifeguards, firefighters, police officers, and other marine rescue teams and provide water therapy programs. Additionally, the park owners hope to host surfing competitions for local schools, colleges, and competitive surfing leagues. Doral Glades Park

DORAL, FLORIDA CPZ Architects had the pleasure of working with the City of Doral on their brand new $10.5 million Glades Park & Nature Center Building project. This project is located on a 25-acre parcel and included full public park amenities including lush landscape throughout, basketball & tennis courts, restroom building with storage rooms, sand volleyball court, picnic pavilions, decorative concrete walkways, jogging path, children playground, outdoor performance stage and large multipurpose field. Also included is a kayak launch, dock area for gatherings and fishing, protected wetlands area boardwalk for nature walks, ample Parking and a 9,000+ S.F. contemporary “Nature Center” building comprised of such finishes as stained large heavy timber roof beams and stone veneered walls. Northgate Park Development

LAUDERDALE LAKES, FLORIDA Lauderdale Lakes is the center of Broward County, and the Town Center is a hub and serves as a multi-modal transit station. Northgate Park is a vital link for the Town Center. The entry of the park blends with the Town Center’s urban aesthetic, with interlocking pavers for the front sidewalks and cul-de-sac to create a gateway and sense of place. Contrasting concrete patterns radiate from the center of the cul-de-sac for wayfinding to different park amenities. The walkways are designed to accommodate arts festivals and other community events.
