CPZ Architects is designing a world class surf park near the Coral Springs Aquatic Center. With cabanas, tiki bars, and a full-size wave park that’s Olympian-worthy, the park will cater to both surfing pros and families looking to enjoy a day in the sun. The surf park will also offer aquatics training for lifeguards, firefighters, police officers, and other marine rescue teams and provide water therapy programs. Additionally, the park owners hope to host surfing competitions for local schools, colleges, and competitive surfing leagues. The design includes a Webber Wave Pool, invented by the famed surfboard designer Greg Webber, that can generate 250 to 500 waves per hour with waves customized for any skill level or age.
