Martin County Fire Station 18

CPZ Architects was retained by Martin County to design two new prototype Fire Stations- #14 and #18. Fire Station 14 is located on Hutchinson Island and Fire Station 18 is in a residential area in Martin County, Florida. The 12,389 SF 1-story facility consists of 3 bays, 10 dormitories, gym, bunker, gear room, quiet room, offices, SCBA, shop, decon and a commercial grade kitchen.

The same prototype station was used in two separate locations as a means of savings on design and construction costs for the county. Design of both new stations reflects the Key West style of architecture predominant in the adjacent residential neighborhoods at both locations.
